How are you doing with your 2022 Goals?

By this time of year many of those new year's resolutions have lost their shine and excitement. Many people fall off their well-intentioned goals altogether after the first month. But why is this? Making significant changes in your life is difficult. Establishing a new routine takes time, consistency and accountability. Almost every week I meet with patients who have significant goals for their health. They want to learn to eat and move better, start working out, but they don't know where to start. Unfortunately there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Everywhere you look there is a new best fad diet that will help you drop 20 pounds instantly, or how the latest exercise craze will get you in the best shape of your life. The problem is that there is no one size fits all when it comes to health and wellness. Here at Woodbury Spine and Wellness Center we are dedicated to understanding what your individual health goals are and putting together a plan tailored to your specific needs. 8WW is a comprehensive program that optimizes what people think about, how they eat and supplement, and how they exercise and care for their body. Unfortunately, a lack of symptoms or pain is not an effective measure of your health! As part of the 8WW program we will do a Wellness Score to track and measure your physiology and function, looking at biomarkers such as body composition, posture, core strength and flexibility, as well as a complete blood work up and spinal x-rays. By using a well rounded approach to health, we are able to improve not only how your body moves and functions, but enabling it to heal from the inside out. We consistently see drastic improvements in body composition, but also improvements in blood chemistry as well, setting patients up for life-long health. Come and start your journey to better health, and find new exciting ways to establish life-long sustainable healthy routines.
