Meet Dr. Justin

My Story
Hi, I am Dr. Justin Nye and I have a quick and interesting story for you. After growing up in Central South Dakota, I attended Northern State University in Aberdeen.

Then it happened... While competing on the Northern football team, I tore one of the major ligaments in my knee. This happened not only once, but twice! So, after numerous knee injuries I decided to hang up my jersey.

But, my connection to chiropractic actually started way before these injuries. When I was in 4th grade, I was diagnosed with Osteochondritis. This is a chronic and painful condition that was a curse in my life. However, that curse became a blessing! How might a curse be a blessing you ask? Well you see, my grandfather was a chiropractor who had practiced in South Dakota for 41 years. He was an incredible influence on my life and helped me more with my condition than anybody else; even more than the medical doctors who told me I couldn't do anything about it! Thanks to my grandpa, the chiropractor, I was able to return to a pain free life!

Right then I knew I wanted to become a chiropractor myself. I wanted to be able to help people the same way my grandfather helped me and so many others. Even to this day when I go home, people come up to me and tell me how much my grandfather helped them with everything from headaches, to neck pain, to back pain, to many other conditions that one wouldn't think a chiropractor could help with!

Then I was crushed...When I graduated from Chiropractic College, I looked out into the crowd and he, my grandfather, wasn't there. My grandfather had unexpectedly passed away at the age of 72, just three months before my graduation day.

That day I made a promise to myself. I promised I would help as many people as possible benefit from chiropractic care, just like my grandpa had done. I wanted to help people enjoy and live longer lives than my grandpa had been able to do.

I am incredibly excited to continue this mission in my office, Woodbury Spine Wellness Center! You see, I grew up learning that it is crucial for your nervous system to function at 100% for one to feel great and be at their optimal health. I absolutely love being a chiropractor! I couldn't imagine being anything else and I thank God everyday for giving me the ability to help my patients reach their health goals.

I have a wonderful wife Christy, who is a certified health coach at Woodbury Spine Wellness Center. We have three children: Elijah, Amelia, and Brinley, who, along with our energetic dogs named Cairo and Theo, keep us busy and our lives exciting away from the office!

I look forward to meeting you and helping you (and your family) reach your health goals through the benefits of chiropractic and wellness care!
Kind regards,
Dr. Justin
